The Ultimate NYC Secondhand Shopping Experienced started in April 2018. Our first guest was from Chile! The tour thanks to power from Airbnb. Since 2018, we have grown to multiple booking platforms and this website, serving thousands of guests from around the country and the world!
Our mission is to help visitors to NYC enjoy a sustainable tourism while getting a glimpse (and filling some bags!) of treasures only the Big Apple can offer. We want our guests to leave our experience with memories and finds for a lifetime.
Booking with us is super easy! We offer Manhattan, Brooklyn and flea market routes, including a 2 hour “speed thrifting tour” great for families! Plus: Book a luxury shopping tour (private) with us if you’re in the mood for a designer-focused tour.

The walking between tours differs depending on which tour you book. The Manhattan tour has the least amount (less than 1/4 mile) while the flea market and Brooklyn routes will total approximately 10,000 steps or 2 miles from start to finish.
Absolutely! In fact, 2 of the 6 stores you will visit on the tour offer almost exclusively men’s clothing / gender neutral clothing. If you are looking for a menswear only tour, we can curate for you! Just send us a message using the form below.
Unfortunately this tour does not promise vintage or secondhand housewares. This is a clothing-exclusive tour with a flea market offered (weather conditioning) on the weekends. The flea market will sometimes have vintage/secondhand housewares.
ABSOLUTELY! Every store carries up to a size 18. However, size 14-18 offerings are approximately 20% of the store’s offerings. If you are interested in a tour dedicated to your styling needs and sizing, please send us a message. We can take you to dedicated plus size stores.
If you would like to shop for your child under 12, we suggest looking into the XS sections of the store. Oftentimes T-shirts will fit children under 12 but typically there are no other garments (besides accessories) that are appropriate for their size as the stores cater to adults.
Meet Our Founder, Samantha
Samantha Davis founded the Ultimate Secondhand Shopping Experience in 2018 thanks to the release of Airbnb experiences.
She spent the next few years expanding her market, working with Viator/Trip Advisor, Meetup, and privately booked parties.
The pandemic put a wrench in her plans – there were no tours allowed for over one year. Since the world opened again in 2022, Samantha has grown her team to three passionate members and continues to help thousands of annual visitors experience the sustainable joys of secondhand shopping in NYC.
She began her journey in secondhand back in 2009 while working at Esquire.com. Samantha built sammydvintage.com and same-name YouTube channel.
Her growing status as a secondhand shopping expert helped land her gigs working for eBay.com and as the host of award-winning HeyDays Vintage.
Today, Samantha works as a full time reseller and resale marketplace owner / digital marketer with vintagejewelryaddicts.com.
When not running one of her many businesses she is in the thrift trenches with you – finding the pieces you love to wear and creating more ease.
